Verstappen took the pole in the first race in the F1 sprint

Max Verstappen has been crowned the big winner in the first sprint race in the history of Formula 1. Despite finishing second – after Friday’s classification – the Dutchman has nailed the start and managed to overtake Hamilton before the first corner, also thanks to a bad start from the British Mercedes driver. The cross of the session has been for Sergio Czech Pérez. The Red Bull driver has lost control of the rear wheels of his car and, despite enduring 16 laps, in the last lap he had to leave and will be last in this Sunday’s race (4pm) at Silverstone circuit.
