Trauner in Rotterdam until 2025

Since yesterday it is finally fixed: After 173 appearances for LASK, Gernot Trauner is moving to Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The 29-year-old defender signed a four-year deal there. “It was really difficult for me to make a decision. For me it will be the last opportunity as a footballer to see something different and experience a new country, a new league,” said Trauner, who also presented himself as a family man in Rotterdam yesterday. In the first image video of his new club, little Julian and his wife Judith were also in the picture.

A former companion of Trauner’s team has also found a new task: Thomas Sageder, who worked with Trauner at SV Ried between 2013 and 2015, started a new chapter yesterday at the Red Bull Salzburg academy. Oliver Glasner’s former assistant coach did not go along with his long-time boss’s move from Wolfsburg to Frankfurt and decided to return home in the summer.

Maier wants Heraf

SV Ried trainer Andreas Heraf is hoping for access. Right back there is still a need, as Julian Wießmeier is currently the only right-back in the squad and youngster Matthias Gragger will be absent for a long time due to his cruciate ligament rupture. Ried coach Andreas Heraf has already deposited his possible dream player: Ex-Admira kicker Marcus Maier: “He played for me at the U20 World Cup, I know what he can do. He would embody exactly what we need. It could be a win-win situation. ” The 25-year-old is currently without a club.
