Tony Martin gets out of the Tour de France after falling

The German professional cyclist Tony Martin dropped out of the 108th Tour de France after another fall. The 36-year-old from the Jumbo-Visma team fell at the beginning of the Mont-Ventoux stage on Wednesday for an initially unexplained cause and sat bleeding for minutes from extensive grazes in a ditch before he sat on a stretcher and was transported away in an ambulance .

Just recovered from a fall

The four-time world time trial champion had only just recovered from the consequences of the fall at the start of the tour in Brittany. At that time, an inattentive spectator negligently brought him down with a cardboard sign and thus triggered a mass fall.

Martin denied the tour for the 13th time. For the sixth time he did not reach the finish in Paris.
