Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Men’s basketball in the United States: full schedule and matches

The United States men’s basketball team has been one of the most dominant teams on the international stage. With plenty of superstars like Kevin Durant, James Harden, etc. representing the national team, the United States has arguably one of the most stacked teams in the world.

After winning the Olympics for the last three times in a row, the United States are once again among the favorites at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. But the road will not be easy as some of the league’s biggest superstars in Luka Doncic and Rudy Gobert will all represent resilient nations like Slovenia and France, respectively.

US men’s basketball calendar unveiled

Aiming for their fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal, the men’s basketball team finally has a confirmed schedule. For the upcoming tournament, the United States will face France, Iran and the Czech Republic in Group A matches.

The national team should be different from its competition, as some of these nations can cause massive upheaval. NBA insider Keith Smith recently revealed the schedule for the group stage.

The biggest challenge for the team, however, will be the health of stars like Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton. Playing for either the Suns or the Bucks, all three players are tied to the final.

Considering how grueling these playoffs have been, rest is needed. But given the timeline, that seems unlikely for the three stars mentioned. The team will also miss some of the greatest veterans.

LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden all chose not to compete in the Olympics. Considering the immense experience and quality that these stars bring to the table, they are a big miss.

But the list has some of the best young talent on the list. Aside from Kevin Durant, Kevin Love and Draymond Green, the rest of the team are making their Olympic debuts. While this team has the quality, they will have to lose their age if they are to win their fourth consecutive gold medal. Will the US men’s basketball team win their fourth consecutive medal?
