The Royal Hispania Foundation (RFH), was created in Madrid, on June 4, 1997, with the aim of restoring the sailboat “Hispania” that was acquired in 1909 by the then King of Spain Alfonso XIII, and that after finding them abandoned in a sorry state in the estuary of a river in England, it was brought to Mallorca for restoration. The Hispania is currently in Puerto Sherry, together with the Giraldilla, also owned by the Hispania Foundation. In this port facility, both vessels have their home port. Currently, the company Marina de Puerto de Santa Maria, the concessionaire of Puerto Sherry, is the legitimate owner of both boats by virtue of the agreement signed with the Fundación Isla Ibusutania,
