The VAR prepares to work in Argentina: they test it in Racing

The new local tournament will have the particularity of having the review system through technology, and they tested it in the Cylinder.

The new championship of the Argentine Professional Soccer League is about to start, and will have a particularity that did not happen in the previous ones: the use of the VAR. That is why this Tuesday carried out a practical test at the Cilindro de Avellaneda, the home of Racing.

The idea is that the technology will begin to be implemented, at the latest in the fourth date of the tournament. It will not be able to be from the beginning because they are the same elements that were used in the America’s Cup in Brazil, that was going to be disputed in the country.

This afternoon there will be a meeting with representatives of the 26 teams, in which the VAR theme and the 2022 championship calendar, which must be advanced by the world Cup in November.

This new technology will be located in a booth in the Ezeiza property where everything that happens will be monitored, and each stadium will communicate by fiber optics. Courts that do not have it installed will have a truck that will carry the VAR team especially for that match.
