The Lakers will start their preseason against the Nets

Eliminated prematurely by the Suns (2-4) in the first round of these playoffs, the Lakers are already looking to the 2021/22 championship. The almost ex-reigning champions have just revealed their preseason schedule on social media, where they will never play outside of California.

And for the Los Angeles franchise, things will begin on October 3, less than three months away, against the Nets. Three days later, on 6 October, they will go to play with the Suns, their potential successors in the roll of honor of the Larry O’Brien Trophy, and then continue with a new trip to Warriors on 8 October.

The “Purple & Gold” will then return to Los Angeles, this time to welcome Phoenix and then Golden State, on 10 and 12 October. And the preseason of teammates LeBron James and Anthony Davis will end on October 14, with a final clash scheduled, away against the Kings.

It remains to be seen what the team will look like on October 3, with the Lakers having only four players (LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma) whose contract is fully guaranteed, in 2021/22.

As a reminder, free agency 2021 will start on August 2. And logically there should be movement in the ranks of the Angelenos, authors of a generally disappointing 2020/21 season, because it is affected by injuries.
