On July 17 and 18, the first tournament of the second season of the international 3×3 basketball league “Top Gun” will take place in Ventspils 3×3 basketball courts (Brīvības Street 14), which will take place in two age groups for women and men. It is planned that no more than 12 girls ‘and 16 boys’ teams in the U18 age group will participate in the competition, no more than 12 women’s and 16 men’s teams in the OPEN group, where the winner of the Ventspils tournament will receive a cash prize of 500 euros.
The 2021 Top Gun League Main Event will take place in six stages for men and three stages for women in both the OPEN and U-18 age groups, during which the team will score points for the final tournament scheduled for October 9 and 10 with the 12 best teams participating in each of the categories.
Team registration takes place until Friday at 10:00 by sending to e-mail [email protected] a completed application (the document can be found in the regulations). Until the relevant Friday at At 17:00 it is possible to change one player.

Only players with FIBA 3×3 basketball player profiles are allowed to participate in the “Top Gun” tournament. No more than eight players are allowed to apply for a single team application for the season. Each basketball player can only be included in the application of one team.
The event will take place in a limited area without spectators, but movement outside it will not be regulated.
In 2020, Ventspils City Municipality decided to install two mobile 3×3 basketball court covers and baskets. The fields and baskets are certified by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and such fields will host the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games in 3×3 basketball. In addition, the project included the installation of waste bins, benches and bicycle racks and the improvement of the territory. The squares are available to everyone in the city during the summer season.
The competition is organized by the Latvian Basketball Union with the financial support of Ventspils City Municipality.
