Team USA is facing another personal setback in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics. How The Athletic reported, Bradley Beal is on the health and safety record.
USA Basketball has since confirmed that a player had to put himself in the record, even if the name Beal was not mentioned.
According to the report, the status of the Washington Wizards star is completely unclear; as the Associated Press adds, there is also the possibility that Beal cannot travel to the games. Team USA is currently at the training camp in Las Vegas before moving on to Japan next week.
This means that complicated preparation continues for the reigning Olympic champion. The first two test matches against Nigeria and Australia were surprisingly lost, and although they won a convincing victory against Argentina, head coach Gregg Popovich had to do without Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) in this match.
