Guus Til enjoyed his first minutes in the Feyenoord shirt. His new team won 2-1 against Werder Bremen on Saturday and so Til finally wins in De Kuip.
“I had never won here before. That song after the goals was an irritation at first. If you play for Feyenoord, that is very nice,” Til says in conversation with ESPN.
Til is satisfied with Feyenoord’s result against Werder Bremen. “We played a great game and were dominant. Werder Bremen is just a big club. Last year in the Bundesliga it was all close together. The differences were not that big. I was often on the bench so I could see everything well from the side,” Til laughs about his reserve turn at SC Freiburg.
On Thursday, Feyenoord will play in the preliminary round of the Conference League against FC Drita from Kosovo. “I know very little about them. We also don’t know that we will be playing against them for very long, so we haven’t really been able to prepare ourselves. That will certainly happen next week.”
