General Chairman PSSI Mochamad Iriawan reminds the coach Indonesian National team Shin Tae Yong so as not to mess with Indonesia following the news of becoming a football commentator Olympic Tokyo 2020.
This was revealed by Iriawan in response to the news circulating that the South Korean coach would become an analyst at a television station.
According to Iriawan, Shin would violate the contract if he became a football commentator on television.
“That [Shin jadi komentator] misinformation. Shin told me he is not a commentator. In his contract, the national team coach cannot comment on football matches. What for? That’s against the contract. We will not allow it,” Iriawan told CNNIndonesia.com on Wednesday (28/7).
“I remind Shin that it’s not allowed. Don’t play with the Indonesian people, with me, with PSSI. I’ll brush it off if he becomes a football commentator. It’s not allowed for the national team coach to play with Indonesia,” he added.
Iriawan explained that the 50-year-old coach was scheduled to return to Indonesia in the second week of August. In other words, Shin will only accompany the Indonesian national team in the training camp in the third week of August.

Shin is currently undergoing treatment for his illness while waiting for the second dose of vaccine to be injected in South Korea. Previously, PSSI reported that Shin would return to Indonesia on August 5, but it was postponed again to August 9.
“Shin is currently being treated sick. It turns out that he has many illnesses, which we just found out. When he comes back we want him to immediately join the national team training camp [rencananya pada 1 Agustus 2021], said Iriawan.
“Information that we received from Shin, he will inject the second dose of vaccine first and then return. Yes, the information is back on August 9th. Hopefully it can run smoothly so that the 2023 Asian Cup play-off TC can run optimally.”

Regarding the issue of commentators and returning to Indonesia, Shin has also given information. He denied being a football commentator at the Olympics and said he would fly to Indonesia on August 9, 2021, after being injected with the Covid-19 vaccine.
“It is wrong that I will be a commentator. I am only writing a review. I explained this to PSSI and asked for understanding. After receiving the second dose of vaccine [Covid-19] I will leave for Indonesia on August 9,” said Shin, quoted from Hankook Ilbo.
