Querétaro achieves medals in taekwondo closing – Informative Codex

Paloma García Moctezuma, María Fernanda Monroy and Eder Zoe Gómez Trejo obtained medals in Taekwondo, while Javier Rojas and Carlos Vaca won a medal in Archery.

The Queretaro taekwondoínes obtained a gold and two silver medals during the last day of activities, within the 2021 edition of the National Games of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE).

Paloma García Moctezuma saw action in the category +68 kilograms and had a great day in Monterrey, Nuevo León, by winning first place and thus adding her fourth consecutive gold in Nationals.

Very excited since it is my fourth consecutive medal, I thank God for letting me achieve this victory and I am very happy. It was my last year, I closed with a flourish and I thank my coach Gessler Viera”García Moctezuma mentioned.

María Fernanda Monroy, the silver metal was hung at -49 kilograms. “I think they worked hard to get the result, maybe they didn’t win gold but they got silver, I am very grateful to my parents because they have always taken me to my training sessions; also thank my teacher Ulises Gutiérrez because he is always there“Said the Queretaro taekwondo.

The other silver went to Eder Zoe Gómez Trejo, in the -48 kg category.

The president of the Queretan Association of the specialty, Osiris Romero Aviña, specified that “In all states, throughout the Mexican Republic, taekwondo is practiced at a very good level, and this makes the competition quite strong; however, Querétaro is among the first places ”.

Archery came into action and the athletes from Queretaro took the podium. The national team, Javier Rojas, was awarded one gold and two silver; Carlos Vaca obtained two golds and one bronze, both in recurve bow.

While Esteban Portillo, Diego Perdomo and Ernesto Barrueta obtained a bronze medal in the compound bow.

Regarding the discipline of canoeing, Axel Fernández Olvera achieved his second gold of the contest in K1 200 meters category 16-18 years old. It is the second gold for the athlete from Jalpan de Serra.

While Hugo Turrubiate and Junípero Ledezma won the silver in K2 500m, 14-16 years old.
