PGA: British Open without Matthew Wolff, Danny Lee and KH Lee

Saturday, Jul 10, 2021. 2:02 PM

American Matthew Wolff will be absent from the British Open, which premieres July 15 at Royal St. George’s.

There is no reason for Wolff’s absence at this time, however. Ranked 35th in the world, he took a 10-week hiatus before coming back to the United States Open with a 15th place finish.

In addition to Wolff, Danny Lee and KH Lee will also have to put a stop to the tournament. The former retired from the John Deer Classic on Friday due to an injury, as KH Lee awaits the birth of her child.

They will be replaced by Andy Sullivan, Antoine Rozner and Troy Merritt.

Merritt lost in the Rocket Mortgage Classic last week.
