Oldenburg (dpa / lni) – Playmaker Phil Pressey will stay with EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the coming season. The 30-year-old point guard has extended his expiring contract by a year, as the basketball Bundesliga club announced on Monday.
“This persona was very important to us,” said the sporting director of Oldenburg, Srdjan Klaric. “Phil brings structure to our game and he has experience at the highest possible level. That is of enormous importance for us in view of the restructuring of the team in view of the large number of young and talented players.”
Pressey switched to the Baskets last year. The native Texan played a total of 148 times in the NBA. Most of these games he completed for the Boston Celtics.
