“How do you cope with the pitiful elimination of the France Olympic team in Tokyo?
They did unfortunately with the workforce which was theirs. I think the players and the staff gave the best of themselves in these conditions. This elimination is severe. There were two negative games against Mexico (1-4) and Japan (0-4) and a good reaction between the two against South Africa (4-3). But I think this elimination does not represent the value of these players. Nothing was easy. The team was not ready. It’s a certainty. Some players were only warned a few hours before they were finally selected for the Olympics.
