NBA, Jamahl Mosley is the new Orlando Magic manager

Jamahl Mosley and the new Orlando Magic manager, after 7 years Mosley leaves the Dallas Mavericks where he was assistant coach to Rick Carlisle.

Mosley, 42, will replace Steve Clifford who resigned last month after 3 seasons at the helm of the team and two playoffs in 2019 and 2020. The Magic dismantled the core with Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier on the 2021 trade deadline to refound the team. Jamahl Mosley is in his first position as NBA head coach, his career began in 2005 at the Denver Nuggets as a scout and player development coach, from 2018 he became the “defensive coordinator” on Carlisle’s Dallas staff, and after the resignation of the latter had been listed as a possible replacement prior to the appointment of Jason Kidd.

In Orlando Mosley will find a young and re-founded team, with Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton, Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz, Chuma Okeke, Mo Bamba and 2 choices on the first round (number 4 and number 8) in the 2021 NBA draft of the next 29 July.
