Jose Mourinho’s desire to bring Alex Telles to AS Roma on loan is one-sided. Manchester United is said to only want to release the Brazilian defender permanently.
Roma reportedly took an interest in Telles. That interest follows an injury anterior cruciate ligament experienced by the mainstay left-back Giallorossi, Leonardo Spinazzola.
Spinazzola suffered the injury while defending Italy in the match against Belgium at Euro 2020. As a result of that injury, Spinazzola also had to miss a long time, Roma needed a new left back.
Last season, Telles did not get much playing time at United. He played 27 times in all competitions, with a record 2,017 minutes of grazing.
