Michael Carter-Williams shows his muscles … and gets direct control

On his last Instagram post, Michael Carter-Williams, the former Rookie of the Year (2014) who has fallen a bit into oblivion on the Orlando side (admit that you don’t remember him playing there anymore), seems to have been inspired by Mike Bibby. From a rather thin body, “MCW” seems to have passed to an ultra muscular war machine. What to react his comrades in the comments, but also … the NBA.

According to Carter-Williams, the league’s anti-doping control department immediately contacted him to warn him that a test would be carried out the next day at his home. Mo Bamba had notably commented in a funny way: “This con is going to force us all to pass anti-doping controls”.

Mike Bibby has become a physical freak

Unless it was a hoax and the former Sixers point guard had mandated a neighbor to play the role of an anti-doping agent, he was indeed tested the next day, as in attests to a video that he relayed with the caption:

“It was just the picture, I didn’t really gain 20kg of muscle, relax! The league sent the cops to me so fast.”

If this story is true, it’s pretty crazy to see the NBA react so quickly. Some would say that it is much more responsive for innocuous players who display a sudden form or transformation, than for more efficient veterans, with bodybuilders capable of lifting trucks.

Michael Carter-Williams has played 31 appearances for Orlando this season, averaging 8.8 points, 4.2 assists and 4.5 rebounds.
