The Mexican Baseball Federation (Femebe) and the designated manager of the national team, Benjamin Gil, presented the list of players who will be present at the Mexican representative during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

In the afternoon of this Thursday, July 8, La Femebe, published through the official accounts of the Mexican Baseball Team, the list of players called by the manager, Benjamin Gil, who will compete in the Olympic tournament of Tokyo 2020, which is by start on Wednesday, July 28.

For this combo of 24 players were selected nineteen players from the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), 4 from Major League Baseball (MLB) and 2 more from Asian teams, from Japan Professional Baseball League (NPB) and the China Professional Baseball League (CPBL).

Infielders

For the part of infielders, highlighted the name of the experienced Adrián González, current player of the Mariachis by Guadalajara; who will be accompanied by Ramiro Peña, from Sultans of Monterrey; Danny Espinosa, of the Monclova Steelers: the two players of the Tijuana de Tijuana bulls, Efrén Navarro and Isaac Rodríguez; and by Brandon Laird, player of the Chiba Lotte Marines of Japan Professional Baseball League.

Mexico, which is ubifallen into group “A” together with Japan and the Dominican Republic, debuting with this team in the competition on Friday, July 30 at Yokohama Stadium against the Caribbean, while a day later, on Saturday 31, will play against the locals at the same venue.
