Ali Hikmet Paşa Sports (AHP) Facilities, which has been serving the residents of Balıkesir for 44 years, will be turned into a sports complex with the project prepared by Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality.
The first excavation for the complex, where studies can be carried out in many branches with the works to be done, will be struck next Monday.
Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality will renovate Ali Hikmet Paşa Sports Facilities from top to bottom and turn it into a fully equipped sports complex. Since the facility, which was built in 1977, cannot meet the needs of the city in its current state, renovation works will be carried out in the area, and the unfinished works will be completed and the function of the additional buildings will be increased.
Established on an area of 12 thousand 398 square meters, the facility will have 28 thousand 900 square meters of green space. In the complex, which will have 35 thousand 082 square meters of hard floor, every detail will be carefully considered and implemented. The first excavation for the complex, which will include 10 thousand 584 square meters of open promenades, 1,100 meters of walking path, 370 meters of double lane bicycle track, a parking lot with a capacity of 372 cars and 8 buses, cafeterias, viewing terraces, prayer rooms and a picnic meadow, will be dug next Monday.
Inside; for administrative buildings, football fields, fitness, streetball, adventure park, wrestling training field, instrument warm-up and training fields, 2 outdoor and 2 indoor tennis courts, basketball courts, handball and volleyball fields in the indoor gymnasium, physical therapy units, amateur sports clubs The facility, which will include equipment rooms, locker rooms and tribune blocks, will be a sports complex where young people can spend time with their families.
