“It has been great fun and nice and busy. We now have more than 100,000 visitors on Sunday afternoon,” says organizer Frans Stuy. The fair actually wanted to open on June 26, but that was not possible at the time because of the corona measures.
After the opening, four days later, a cart drove around every day with someone who pointed out the one and a half measures to visitors. The number of visitors was also counted at the entrance and exit so that there would not be more people than allowed on the site.
“We have seen that families walk together, of course, but also that people take each other into account,” said Stuy.

‘There was really something’
“We will definitely come back next year,” says Frans. “I also think that Arnhem should become the largest fair in the Netherlands next year and that potential is there. The municipality of Arnhem should be proud of this fair, because there was really something. The best fair ever.”
Stuy is a bit tired after ten days of hard work, but is still very happy that there was a fair again after nine months of corona measures.
