McGregor’s Broken Leg at UFC 264

Feet Conor McGregor broken when defeated Dustin Poirier of UFC 264. Here’s the chronology of McGregor’s broken leg at UFC 264.

McGregor was declared defeated by TKO to Poirier after being unable to continue the fight after the first round.

The UFC 264 duel was interesting. McGregor, who was hit by a Poirier kick in the first meeting, actually took more kicks early in the fight.


Entering the middle of the first round, McGregor forced the fight down and successfully guillotineed Poirier. However, the decision to fight down actually cost McGregor a lot because Poirier was able to deliver a heavy blow until McGregor’s left ear bled.

McGregor and Poirier then stood up again with 13 seconds left in the first round. The disaster for McGregor then struck seconds before the end of the round.

A left by McGregor missed Poirier, then the Irish Republican misplaced his left foot as he stepped back. Replays show McGregor’s left ankle sprained and fractured.

McGregor then fell, but managed to finish the first round despite continuing to be hit by Poirier. When the first round ended, McGregor couldn’t get up and then pointed to his left foot and groaned in pain.

You can see McGregor’s left ankle is broken when he points at it. Referee Herb Dean then ruled the UFC 264 fight ended in a TKO win for Poirier.
