Looking at McGregor Staying Just a UFC ATM Machine

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Conor McGregor getting away from the frenzy of fighters worthy of fighting for the lightweight title UFC. It is still valuable, but only as an ATM machine for the UFC and its challengers.

McGregor had to accept that fact after being defeated again in a trilogy of fights against Dustin Poirier. The defeat was McGregor’s second in three fights against The Diamond.

This time, The Notorious lost by TKO after the first round. McGregor lost painfully after breaking his ankle late in the first round.

That fate was experienced after he misplaced his focus after trying to attack Poirier. McGregor tries to throw a left punch that doesn’t hit Poirier.

While trying to step back, the Irish fighter misstepped his foot and finally sprained his left ankle and broke it. The match was not immediately stopped because Poirier immediately ambushed and beat McGregor in the remaining seconds of the first round.

It was only when the half-round went that it was discovered that McGregor had broken his leg and could not continue the match. The match ended with Poirier smiling in the corner of the octagon.

The defeat was clearly a crushing blow for McGregor. He slumped again in the midst of efforts to establish his name as a top fighter after the retirement of Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Instead of wanting to get back into the maelstrom of the UFC’s top lightweight fighter, McGregor actually sinks even more. Two defeats in a row against Poirier seemed to emphasize the waning spurs of the Irish fighter in the octagon.

McGregor has recently become known as the vegetable chicken fighter in the UFC. He is so easily defeated by opponents who are considered to have equal abilities.

Of his last five fights, McGregor has suffered more losses. He lost twice to Poirier and was defeated by Khabib via submission at UFC 229.

While two wins were carved by McGregor against Eddie Alvarez and Donald Cerrone. The last name entered the category of weak fighter in the UFC lightweight class and the match took place at the welterweight class.

McGregor’s report card in the last five fights shows the decline he has experienced. This seems to have also been influenced by McGregor’s enthusiasm that was like never before, a time when he was so respected in the UFC arena.

The assumption that McGregor’s focus is now distracted on his increasingly successful business seems to be getting more and more justified as he loses after defeat.
