La Frontera launches its Summer sports Campaign

Drafting / The Department of Sports of the City of La Frontera launches this Summer Sports Campaign as of next July 26, which proposes to the residents of the municipality activities such as Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Paddle tennis or the traditional Football tournaments o Canarian Ball to be held during the months of July and August. A campaign that will be carried out with a strict protocol for minimizing the risks of COVID-19.

The Councilor for Sports of La Frontera, Johan González, explains that with this proposal the council offers a healthy leisure alternative to the population. “We wanted to resume the sporting pulse with all the necessary measures so that the neighbors and visitors on these important dates can return to carry out those activities that the consistory offered them in the summer period, with new proposals for the little ones such as walks on horseback or the Children’s Basketball Campus ”.

An extensive calendar that will open on July 26 with Fútbol en la calle. On July 27 and 28, Bubble Soccer for Children and Adults. On July 29 and 30 Basket 3X3. On August 1, children’s horse rides; Male and Female Paddle Tournament, which will be held from July 29 to August 1; and those of Fútbol 7 Senior and Bola Canaria, Boche and Arrime, from August 2 to 6 and 8. The Mixed Volleyball Tournament on August 7 and 8; on August 11 and 12, Beach Badminton Tournament; a Taekwondo exhibition on August 13; the 14th Regional Soccer Tournament and the 15th, the Softball Tournament. There will also be a Volleyball clinic scheduled from August 23 to 27 and a Basketball Campus from August 30 to September 3.

For his part, the mayor of the town, Pedro Miguel Ángel Acosta, makes an extensive invitation to all residents to participate from the responsibility and from the care necessary to maintain the health of all citizens; with a special message to the youngest so that this summer they take care of themselves and celebrate with the necessary prudence that these times of pandemic impose, so that the municipality can continue with all the sports and cultural proposals that it offers.

The closing of this municipal sports offer is scheduled for September 3 with the celebration of the automobile test “Subida a la Cumbre” and the presentation of a new project and personal sports challenge of adapted and inclusive sports of the association “Athletes without Borders”.

The City Council has reported that general information such as that related to the opening of registrations for each of the activities, will be offered promptly on the institution’s social networks.
