“KD smokes more weed than you can imagine”

Undisputed model of many young basketball players by his performances, Kevin Durant is much less far from the field. In addition to his blood shots on the networks, the Nets winger is also … a heavy consumer of weed. Did you say example?

Unlike a certain LeBron James, or even his own teammates Kyrie Irving and James Harden, Kevin Durant did not see his season end following the elimination of his team in the playoffs. Or rather, that Nets’ Game 7 loss to the Bucks on June 19 did not mark the start of an offseason rest period.

Filled with being able to turn back the pitches after having been away from it for over a year, the Slim Reaper cheerfully accepted Team USA’s invitation to participate in the Olympics. He therefore began his preparation with the selection of Gregg Popovich, and unless disaster hit the Japanese floors within a few days.

In the meantime, revelations about him are raining in the US media. Most are from the same source, namely Matt Sullivan, author of the book Can’t Knock The Hustle. During his recent visit to the Dan Le Batard Show, the writer is poured out on the behavior off the field of KD, marked by a rather annoying habit for the common man.

He smokes more weed than you can imagine. Once, I was at his house at 1am, and the whole place stank. He doesn’t have a girlfriend. He doesn’t splurge on vacation. In fact, he doesn’t do anything other than play basketball. Like, nothing. He’s boring to death.

For lack of finding a better occupation, Durant obviously has a habit of stringing joints in his humble home. Nothing illegal about that, as recreational marijuana use is fully permitted in New York State, and many others. Adam Silver even did him a proud service a few months ago on this point.

At the dawn of the 2020-21 fiscal year, the league announced that it did not intend to test its members for the use of such drugs during the season. Durantula was therefore able to indulge himself in this little pleasure, without fear of reprisals. Be wary, however, because the laws about cannabis are intended to be much stronger and more dissuasive in Japan.

A big fan of weed, Kevin Durant could face up to five years in prison if used in the Land of the Rising Sun. Gregg Popovich will therefore have to hold his player, otherwise he will not be brought back to the United States!
