Jhoulys Chacín took the victory against San Luis

Trevor Story broke a scoreless tie in the seventh with a three-run homer, and the Colorado Rockies beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 on Saturday.

Daniel Bard struck out Dylan Carlson with runners on second and third for his 12th save.

Kyle Freeland allowed three hits in six scoreless innings for the Rockies, who have won five of six. Venezuelan Jhoulys Chacín (2-1) took the victory by a perfect seventh.

Genesis Cabrera (1-3) took the loss after admitting Story’s home run. Daniel Bard signed his 12th save.

For the Cardinals, José Rondón went 1-0. While for the Rockies, Yonathan Daza went 4-0 with a run scored and Elías Díaz 4-0.
