The MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg are in the basketball Bundesliga before the preliminary round championship.
The team of coach John Patrick won the Jobstairs Gießen 46ers on Saturday with 89:80 (48:27) and leads the league five games before the end of the regular season with 27: 2 wins ahead of champions Alba Berlin (23: 6) at. Gießen (6:24), on the other hand, is threatened with relegation as penultimate in the table. The guests dominated the game from the start and even led the match with 27 points at the end of the third quarter. Only in the final round did the Ludwigsburg clearly slacken. Ulm wins in Oldenburg
