For Doncic – European champion coach to the Mavs?

Is it going really fast now? The Dallas Mavericks are apparently on the verge of signing Igor Kokoskov.

The Serb is expected to join Head Coach Jason Kidd’s coaching team shortly. That reports ESPN.

Kokoskov last worked for Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in Turkey – his contract there was terminated at his own request, as the EuroLeague club announced on Tuesday. (NEWS: All current information about the NBA)

The upcoming move of the 49-year-old basketball professional to the NBA should be especially happy for Luka Doncic, because: Under Kokoskov, the Mavs superstar became European champion in 2017.

Kokoskov is not a stranger in the NBA anyway: Between 2000 and 2019, the veteran had already worked for various teams in the US elite league.

Noteworthy: At the Phoenix Suns, after many years as an assistant, Kokoskov became the first head coach of the NBA who was not born in North America.
