First «IPB Talent League Tournament» is celebrated with resounding success – RD Social Newspaper

SANTO DOMINGO. Integral Program Baseball (IPB) celebrated with resounding success First “IPB Talent League Tournament” with prospects (2023-2024).

The event took place this week between Tuesday 6 and Thursday 8 of this month of July 2021 at the headquarters of the academy, located in the Villa el Naranjo sector, of the San Luis Santo Domingo Este Municipality.

The goal of the tournament was to introduce listeners from the 30 MLB organizations to the top talent from the four baseball academies or programs that competed in the tournament.

Juan Manuel Vásquez, who is the General Manager of the IPB, highlighted the level at which the tournament was developed and the potential of the prospects of the four teams.

At the same time, he thanked the presence of dozens of scouts who attended the three days of competition and also the support given by Jaime Ramos, Miguel Bautista and Luis Pereyra (Javier) presidents of the Ramos, MVP and Mejia Top 10 academies respectively.

Through this event it was achieved that many of the prospects who participated received special attention from the listeners of the different MLB organizations.

The Ramos Academy dominated the joust

leaving undefeated with 3-0, thus rising to the event’s cup, beating his MVP counterpart 7-0, he beat the Integral Program Baseball team 7-4 and 5-3 to Mejía Top 10. In the end a All-Star Game, which was won by the Eastern League 4-3 over the Western League.

Josué Heureaux was one of the most outstanding pitchers, throwing seven blank episodes in the meeting won by the Ramos Academy over the MVP squad.

The right-hander allowed only four hits, did not passports and passed eight batters by way of the third strike.

The best hitters of the event for La Ramos were Leo De Vreis with a double, three singles, four RBIs and three runs scored, Fernando Cruz and Abraham Núñez Jr. escorted him with a single and an RBI, each. Likewise, they shone for the IPB, Sandy Luciano, with two hits in three at-bats and Jael A. Carrión produced a touchdown. On pitching, Juanmi Vásquez went through three blank episodes, but had the offensive backing of the IPB in the game that they tied 4-4 with Mejía Top 10.

Alexis Hernández produced two touchdowns with a single for Mejía Top 10, Jefferson Rojas drove in two laps with a pair of indisputable, while with individual singles Alexis Hernández, Willy Méndez, Samuel Dos Passos and Frederi Montero, while Nolan Beltrán, Willy Méndez and Yilber Ruiz hit two hits.

For the MVP Academy, Misael Tajada shone, who gave two singles and drove in a couple of laps, Jhon Simón and Samuel Villanueva added a couple of hits per head and José Martínez achieved a hit.
