In the annual fan poll, the Bayern Munich professional secured victory with 17.02 percent of the vote. Zipser relegated his competitors Rickey Paulding (EWE Baskets Oldenburg / 9.39 percent) and Thomas Klepeisz (ratiopharm Ulm / 7.94 percent) to the places. Zipser will receive the award as part of one of the first games of the coming BBL season.
Euroleague quarter-finalist and top scorer in the cup final

Because of a brain hemorrhage, Zipser had to undergo a complicated emergency operation in July. Therefore, the 27-year-old missed the decisive final against Master Alba Berlin as well as the current Olympic qualification of the German national team.
