Indonesian swimmer Aflah Fadlan Prawira won silver in the men’s 400 meters freestyle at SEA G

SUPERBALL.ID – Fadlan Prawira closed his journey at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics while competing in the 1,500 meter freestyle at the Tokyo Aquatics Center, Friday (30/7) night.

In his last race, Fadlan finished third with a time of 15:29.94, 22 seconds behind first place Daniel Wiffen of Ireland.

The 23-year-old athlete is grateful that he has successfully completed all the competitions he participated in, although the results were not very satisfactory because he had not been able to break the national record.

“Alhamdulillah, everything is in order and I have given my best for Indonesia. From the record time it has not entered my best record or national record, but this time record is the best throughout 2020 because so far there have been no competitions, only competitions between national training teams,” said Fadlan.

“This is a pretty good result from my personal point of view because it is better than the time during the Olympic trial in Jakarta,” said Fadlan.

The swimmer from West Java competed in the first few hundred meters. Entering the middle of the race, Wiffen began to leave Fadlan and Marcelo Acosta.

Although mostly using their hands and occasionally moving their feet, Wiffen and Acosta started to leave Fadlan, who was stuck in third place.
