KOMPAS.com – The Italian football national team successfully won the Euro 2020 title after defeating the English football team through a penalty shootout with a score of 3-2.

The Euro 2020 final match between Italy vs England was held at Wembley Stadium, London, England, on Monday (12/7/2021) early morning WIB.

The final match of Euro 2020 must be decided on penalties after the 1-1 draw lasted until extra time.

However, England’s defeat in the Euro 2020 final was apparently unacceptable to some of the Three Lions supporters.

An England supporter named Sharon Guilmen demanded a repeat of the final match through a petition on the Change.org website.

As of Saturday (17/7/2021), the petition was signed by more than 140,000 people with a target of 150,000 signatures.

“The match on 11/07/2021 was not fair at all. Italy only received a yellow card for attracting English players as if they were slaves,” Guilmen wrote in the petition.

“All the pushing, pulling shirts and kicks (to England players) and Italy are still allowed to win? Obviously biased,” he continued.

“Italy should have got a red card for playing like this and the rematch has to roll with an unbiased referee. This is not fair at all,” he added.

In his update on Tuesday (13/7/2021), Guilmen said that he had sent email to many agencies and many people to get autographs.

“Keep sharing and commenting, signing, doing all you can,” Guilmen said.
