The pre-order phase has started parallel to the release of the cover stars of NBA 2K22. Luka Doncic, star of the Dallas Mavericks, will adorn the Standard Edition, and to celebrate the 75th anniversary, an Anniversary Edition will also appear that will have three icons from different eras on the cover: Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant and Kareem-Abdul Jabbar . For the first time, 2K Games is also releasing a WNBA edition that shows Candace Parker.
