Edoardo Zingarelli, the athlete of the “Red Clay Castellamonte” currently on loan at Porta Mortara, is among the twenty called up who will represent Italy at the European Championship, this year scheduled from Monday 5 to Sunday 11 July on diamonds in Macerata and Montegranaro (FM).
A difficult path started by a group of 80 players chosen by Francesco Aluffi, manager of this national team, throughout Italy. Three selection rallies in the month of May, a subsequent gathering of 40 elements and later other training meetings and two midweek friendlies, which provided the last answers to the Aluffi staff to compose this group of boys.
The Macerata and Montegranaro European Championship will be doubly important for these athletes because the two finalists will qualify for the WBSC World Cup scheduled for this year in Bradenton and Sarasota (Florida, USA).
