Austria has the worst image for its own players – football

The “Association of Footballers” asked Bundesliga players about their clubs. The Vienna Austria does not come off well.

Every year Austria’s footballers union creates the “table of a different kind”. The punctuality of the salary payments, the clarity of the contracts, the communication between management and the team, the medical care, the equipment and the image of the club are evaluated.

Austria has the worst image

In the last point, Austria does anything but good. The “Veilchen” received only five out of ten possible points from their own players – together with relegated spusu SKN St. Pölten the worst value in the entire league. This puts the Viennese behind Admira or LASK, which each received six points. The WSG Tirol (7) or Hartberg (8) received significantly more points.

The reason for the image problem with the domestic kickers is probably the financially difficult situation of Austria. It was only at the second attempt that the traditional club was awarded the license for the new season. In addition, there was the farewell theater around the long-term board member Markus Kraetschmer as well as missing payments, but strong slogans from investor “Insignia”.

In other areas the “violets” could at least make up ground. The punctuality of the salary payments as well as the clarity of the contracts received top marks. With a total of 57 points, that was enough for sixth place.

Salzburg clearly in the front

Red Bull Salzburg ranks unchallenged at the top with 69 out of a possible 70 points. Vice-champion Rapid Vienna also took second place in this ranking. Only when it came to the exchange of information between management and the team, the equipment and the club’s image, there were no top marks.

Surprisingly, Wolfsberg finds himself in last place. In addition to the image (7), the information exchange (6), the medical care (6) and the equipment (4) were rated particularly poorly.
