Andre Drummond: “I will play for the Shanghai Sharks next year”

Free agent this summer after an overall failed experience at the Lakers, Andre Drummond does not yet know what his future will be. So while waiting to find a point of fall, the pivot joked with a lot of self-mockery.

At almost 28 years old, Andre Drummond’s career comes to a crossroads. Since his arrival in the league, the big man has not ceased to demonstrate that he can display impressive statistics, stacking the double-double points-rebounds like pearls. Its non-statistical weaknesses, on the other hand, are still glaring, and pose a real ceiling to its potential.

In great difficulty during his time at the Lakers, Drummond should not go on forever in the city of angels. Besides, his tackle to the franchise on social networks clearly goes in the direction of a departure during the summer. But where to go?

At the microphone of the show “Pardon My Take”, the former Detroit self-trolled:

Journalist: “So where are you going to play next year? “

Drummond: “Shanghai, in China”

Journalist, amused: “Wow, is your career really bad at this point? “

On American social networks, the Chinese championship and more generally the Shanghai franchise are regularly used as a siding, in which Internet users like to “send” players in difficulty. This year, one of them even created the All-Shangai Sharks Team, including Ben Simmons, Tyler Herro, Kyle Kuzma… and Drummond, among others.

Of course, neither Kuz nor Dede will sign in China – not for now at least. Drummond hopes for a big contract with a nice check, but not sure that his sluggish season in Cleveland as in Los Angeles will allow him to have what he claims. Sounds of corridors, however, evoke an interest of Dallas.

The tracks remain unclear for Andre Drummond, who prefers to laugh at the trolls who have never ceased to criticize him on the networks. For the real destination of the hub, meet in August for the free agency.
