Anderlecht see Schalke 04 cheated on transfer from Benito Raman | Football24

It is for now the surprise of the transfer window so far. Nobody really expected that Benito Raman would move from Schalke 04 to Anderlecht. Certainly not financially.

Because the Purple & White may have some more breathing room after the announced capital increase, it is more than remarkable that it can pluck a Belgian top player with a top salary from a (albeit relegated) Bundesliga club.

But a lot has to do with the fact that Schalke 04 is in need of money and forced to dump players and their wages. Although the German tradition club appears to be seriously disappointed with this transition.

3 million

After all, German media report that Anderlecht would have paid a little more than 3 million euros, but that due to a previous agreement 2.5 million would immediately flow to his ex-club Fortuna Düsseldorf – where Schalke 04 snatched him away.

Duitse media melden immers dat Anderlecht iets meer dan 3 miljoen euro zou betaald hebben, maar dat door een eerdere overeenkomst daar meteen 2,5 miljoen naar zijn ex-club Fortuna Düsseldorf – waar Schalke 04 hem wegplukte – zou vloeien.
