After student death, judo coach is sentenced to seven years in prison

A coach of judo was sentenced to seven years in prison, after provoking the death from his student, a boy of just seven years old, in Taiwan.

Last April 21, during a class, the minor was mistreated, to the point of being whipped 27 times for his maestro, and after more than two months of staying on life support in a hospital on the Asian island, he was finally disconnected.

The medical reports indicated that as a result of the multiple impacts, the child suffered from brain hemorrhage, as well as respiratory problems.

The coach justified that he taught his students the knock down typical of this discipline with the same child, who, despite protesting discomfort during the lesson, reached the point of being unconscious.

“May you rest in peace in another world and the justice system can finally bring comfort to your family,” declared Taiwan Mayor Lu Shiow-yen.
