5 Candidates for the Boaz Solossa Club After being released by Persipura

Former player Indonesian National team, Boaz Solossa, immediately became a hot commodity in the transfer market after officially parting with Persipura Jayapura.

At least five clubs, both from Liga 1 and Liga 2, have been linked with the player with the accurate left-footed shot.

Boaz has a big name in the Indonesian football scene. Having strengthened the Red and White squad since 2004, Boaz is synonymous with the Mutiara Hitam team in the country’s top-level competition.

Even though Boaz is not young anymore, 35 years old, his quality and instinct to score goals has not faded. This can be measured by the number of goals scored by Boci, as he is known, when appearing in the 2019 and 2020 seasons before the competition was stopped.

In the 2019 season Boaz scored 9 goals from 26 games, and one goal in 2020 from three games. Although not as sharp as in his prime, Boaz’s goals often determine the final outcome of the game.

Where will Boaz anchor this season, after 16 years with Persipura? The following are five clubs that are rumored to be Boaz’s new port for the 2022i/2022 season.

1. RANS Cilegon FC

The club that is said to be the most insistent on chasing Boaz’s signature is RANS Cilegon FC. The club owned by artist Raffi Ahmad, who will appear in Liga 2 2021/2022, wants to pair Boaz with fellow aging striker, Cristian Gonzales.

Rumors circulated that RANS was ready to spend Rp. 750 million for Boaz for a season. This figure is said to be higher than the fee that Boaz received while defending Persipura, which was only IDR 700 million a season.

Raffi also recently met with Boaz in relation to the implementation of the 2020 PON.

2. Persija Jakarta

Boaz does not have a history of closeness with Persija Jakarta. However, the capital city club is looking for new players who can boost the team’s performance after many names left, such as Marc Klok, Alfath Fathier, and Sandi Sute.

News circulating on social media, Persija management is ready to make a more promising offer for Boaz. In addition to getting a fairly high salary, luxurious facilities such as those obtained by foreign players will be given to Boaz.
