The NBA and Wilson will launch a new official ball for next season to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the NBA’s founding on June 17th.publicdid.
Wilson’s new official ball has the same materials, eight-panel configuration, performance specifications, and the same ball currently used by the league, with the NBA and Wilson logos. The NBA and NBPA (Players Association) have worked with Wilson over the past year to develop and approve a new official ball through team evaluation.

“Following our partnerships with the WNBA and BAL, we will continue to work for the future of sports. Wilson will first focus on supporting the league and its players with high-performance game balls, and then around the world. We will reach out to fans, coaches and players at all levels to expand our basketball family. “

“Wilson, the official NBA ball for the 37th season since its inception, is back with a history shared with us for continued growth in the league.”
Wilson’s official ball will debut on the court at the Microsoft Surface NBA Draft Combine 2021 from June 21st to 27th (22nd to 28th).
Wilson also introduced the first NBA advisory staff members to the release. Trae Young, who was selected as an All-Star in 2020, and Jamal Murray, who was nominated for the first round of the 2016 draft. As official advisory staff members, both players will test, provide feedback and collaborate on Wilson basketball products.
“It was natural for me to join Wilson’s advisory staff,” Young said.
“From basketball on the driveway to college, I’ve been using Wilson balls since I was a kid. Wilson is back in the NBA and I can say my opinion about their balls on and off the court. I’m happy. “
Other basketball advisory staff include WNBA All-Star three-time Elizabeth Cambage, FIBA 3×3 star players Dusan Brut and Maminyan Toure, and prominent skill coach Chris Brookley. More players will be announced as they get closer.
