RIMINI – Women’s Volleyball Nations League final troubled by the national teams ready to check-out from the “bubble” hotels that hosted the national teams for the month of the tournament on the Romagna coast.
In recent days, several federations have received an email letter from FIVB and RCS Sport with the accused alleged damage to hotel facilities caused by the athletes of the teams. Damage that some hotels had documented with images attached to emails sent to individual federations.

The letter, signed by Fabio Azevedo, FiVB General Director, e Paolo Bellino, RCS General Director, then underlined how FIVB and RCS Sports – the organizer of VNL 2021 – have hired an external expert to assess the damage. This assessment made it possible to contest some of the damages charged and to negotiate a reduction in the amounts to be paid to the structures.

Report of damages on June 16 sent to the federations on 19. From here, various federations and national teams, united to contest the charges, subsequently obtained – the next day – that the FIVB took a double step back and with an email in which “Following a meeting held today, the FIVB, CWT and RCS have come to a common understanding that the reports provided by the affected hotels are not accurate. Therefore, please ignore our e-mail dated June 19, 2021 in this regard “.
