Vietnamese City of Da Nang Reopens Essential Services After Putting COVID-19 Under Control | Society

Da Nang, Vietnam (VNA) -The central Vietnamese city of Da Nang It allows some essential services and tourist activities to operate again from today after taking 21 days without reporting any case of community infection of COVID-19.

According to a statement from the municipal People’s Committee quoted by the electronic newspaper Nhan Dan, food and drink establishments, indoors or outdoors, must operate only at half their capacity and serve on site until 9:00 p.m. at the latest.

Their owners are asked to sign a commitment with the local authorities on compliance with pandemic measures, regularly make the medical declaration, have the Bluezone mobile application active and ensure that all workers wear masks.

What’s more, they should measure customers’ body temperatures upon arrival, make disinfectant gel available, and ask them to wash their hands before and after eating and after using the bathroom, as well as fumigate the table and chairs when they leave. The installation of QR code scanners and anti-saliva screens is recommended.

The coastal city also reopens its beaches to the bathroom, but only for three hours in the morning (from 4.30am) and two hours in the afternoon (from 4.30pm). Before, during and after these periods, mass concentration for any activity is prohibited, except for some sports that do not require direct contact such as tennis and badminton.

The services hairdressers are also restored, but are subject to strictly comply with the 5K message (Mask – Disinfection – Distance – No Crowds – Medical Statement) of the Ministry of Public Health. Massage and beauty activities remain closed.

Da Nang registered 158 cases of COVID-19 since May 3 so far and still offers medical treatment to 62 patients. It continues to rigorously monitor the pandemic, focusing on dealing with the flow of people from epidemic areas, and regularly testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus to identify people at high risk of infection.
