Verdun. Young golfers from Verdun passed their flags at Combles

“Here, it is really a big and beautiful field with trees”, exclaims Anna. Impressed by the immensity of the Combles golf course, the young player from the Verdun golf school, at the height of her seven and a half years, cannot believe it. Same feeling for Ugo.

Like Anna and Ugo, the eleven young competitors from the Verdun golf school are all very happy to play on a real golf course. Supervised by President Jocelyne Delval and accompanied by their parents, they came to participate in the departmental flag passing test organized by the Meuse golf committee.

Like ski stars or judo belts

A bit like ski schools or judo belts, golf schools have their own assessment and progression system. With eight distinct levels, these flags (green, red, blue, youth, white then bronze, silver and gold) mark out all learning for young golfers. These are all adapted challenges that support children from their initiation to the discovery of golf competition.

It is also an opportunity to get to know the Verdun delegation. “We are the practice of Verdun, it is only a training center with nevertheless 185 members and a golf school with 19 licensed children”, underlines the president Jocelyne Delval.

The dream of having a 9-hole compact

Proud to take her eleven young competitors from 6 to 11 years old to this passage of flags in the South of Meuse, Jocelyne dreams out loud: “It would be happiness if we could have a 9-hole compact in order to organize these meetings at home. -you golfing. It would also promote training. “

By all taking down a new flag, the eleven students of the golf school validated the work of the year and demonstrated the quality of Verdun education.
