Two first victims among the Blues

The pitiful elimination of the France team on Monday against Switzerland should cause some departures from the Blues.

Landed at the Euro with (very) high ambitions, the France team was shattered. On the lawn of the Arena Nationala in Bucharest, where the Blues saw their course come to an end in the round of 16, consequence of their elimination on penalties against Switzerland (3-3, 5 tab to 4) , as behind the scenes. Monday evening was indeed marked by deep disunity, especially between some players.

But this Euro should also seal some divorces in the staff of the Blues. To believe The team, two members of Didier Deschamps’ close guard should indeed have to leave the France team. This is the case in the first place of Doctor Le Gall, in the sights of Florence Hardouin, director general of the FFF, since the true-false positive Covid-19 test of Steve Mandanda last September. The Blues doctor should also pay for his hesitation in the management of certain cases.

Wounds that do not pass

Cyril Moine, physical trainer of the Blues, is just as much on the threat. Blame it on the cascade of physical glitches that fell on the France team since the start of the rally: Ousmane Dembélé, Lucas Digne, Lucas Hernandez, Kingsley Coman, Karim Benzema, Jules Koundé, Adrien Rabiot, Thomas Lemar or Marcus Thuram have all been injured in the past two weeks.

His methods are clearly singled out, especially among players who have complained of too extensive sessions. The Blues had the feeling of never having recovered from the first match against Germany and of being on edge, as evidenced by the many muscle injuries observed during the last outings of Didier Deschamps’ men. And Lucas Digne’s injury, after a somewhat sloppy warm-up, at half-time in the match against Portugal clearly does not help his case with the coach.
