Daniela Macías, a Peruvian badminton player who is a member of the Vamos con Tokio Program of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), achieved her classification to the next Olympic Games.
As reported by the IPD on its website, the 23-year-old national athlete agreed to the Olympic event thanks to its location in the international ranking.
In this regard, the president of the Peruvian Badminton Sports Federation (FDPB), Gonzalo Castillo, confirmed Macías’ classification. “The statement reached us and it is a source of pride for us,” he said.
With Daniela macias, Peru has so far 26 classified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
