These four DFB players leave the team hotel

Germany starts against France in the EM on Tuesday. The preparation is in the final stages. However, a few actors left the hotel with a team doctor a few hours before kick-off.

Shortly before on Tuesday evening (from 9 p.m. in Live ticker at t-online) the first German EM game against France is kicked off, four national players have left the team hotel of the DFB-Elf in Munich. Just under an hour before the start of the game, it was clear: Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala and Jonas Hofmann are not in the squad for the game against the world champion. Previously, several media had unanimously reported that the three and goalkeeper Kevin Trapp had left the hotel.

While the team set off for a walk through the English Garden after breakfast, the four colleagues with DFB doctor Dr. Jochen Hahne apparently to the FC Bayern campus.

In the case of Goretzka, Hofmann and Musiala, it was ultimately also the trio that was not nominated for the role. National coach Joachim Löw is only allowed to nominate 23 of his 26 players for each game. Goretzka and Hofmann were considered safe candidates due to their training deficit (Goretzka) or their injuries (Hofmann). Musiala is now the third in the league.

A deployment of Kevin Trapp is also not planned. Bernd Leno will be the first new representative, as national coach Joachim Löw revealed at a press conference on t-online on Monday.

Training instead of preparation for the game

It is believed that the quartet completed replacement training on the Bayern site after leaving the team hotel. According to information from the “Express”, the DFB denied possible medical examinations.

Bayern star Leon Goretzka only got back into team training last week after his thigh injury, his Munich colleague Jamal Musiala had hip problems at the beginning of the training camp and Jonas Hofmann from Gladbach is currently unable to train with the team due to knee problems.
