While waiting to hear about Rookie of the Year and Executive of the Year, the only two individual awards still to be awarded for the 2020-21 regular season, the NBA presented the two defensive quintets. The 10 best defenders of the season obviously include the winner of the Defensive Player of the Year, Rudy Gobert, as well as the other two finalists Ben Simmons e Draymond Green.
Gobert, Simmons, Green, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday make up the first All-Defensive Team. Kawhi Leonard, Mathisse Thybulle, Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo instead the latter. Domination therefore of Philadelphia 76ers (with 3 players out of 10), Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks (2 each) in this year’s NBA defensive quintets.

Gobert got a bonus of $ 500,000 for being included in the first defensive quintet, Holiday instead of $ 100,000. The Bucks star has additional bonuses related to the season finale: another 200,000 in case of reaching the Finals and 1 million dollars in case of winning the title.

Jrue Holiday has earned a $100K bonus for being selected All-Defensive First Team. Holiday also has a $200K bonus if Milwaukee reaches the NBA Finals and $1M for winning the championship.
