the squad of Italy. The exclusion of Galiazzo, present Musolesi – OA Sport, stands out

The countdown continues in view of the most important event of the five-year period for the Italian national archery team, which will be played in Paris on Saturday 19 June, the last chance available to snatch the Olympic pass in the men’s team competition.

At the moment, in the men’s field, the Bel Paese would be qualified for Tokyo with only one athlete for the individual competition (and for the mixed pairs competition), but the goal is to earn the Olympic team card to add two more elements. to the tricolor expedition to Japan.

The blue technical staff has summoned the following athletes for the Pre-Olympic in Paris: Mauro Nespoli, Alessandro Paoli and Federico Musolesi. Compared to the last two editions of the World Championships in fact two out of three elements of the trio change, with Nespoli the only fixed point called to drag the two new young teammates towards the great Olympic goal.

The exclusion of Marco Galiazzo makes noise, a veteran of the blue movement often and willingly able to go up with shots on the occasion of the team tests, but the results of the last two years have reshuffled the hierarchies within the men’s national team.

Paoli and Musolesi displaced Galiazzo and Pasqualucci thanks to a beautiful growth path, which culminated between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 with important individual exploits that called into question the calls for Paris.

Final decision that came, however, following theexcellent third place in the World Cup in Lausanne on 21 May by the trio Nespoli-Musolesi-Paoli, immediately competitive and convincing at the first official appearance in the international arena.
