The Oilers captain and NHL top scorer, Connor McDavid, unanimously receive the Hart Prize

McDavid excelled in 56 regular season games this season with 33 goals and 72 assists, being by far the most successful player in the league. The striker was the leader in the assists, in the points scored by playing in the same line-up, as well as in the points earned in the majority.

The Oilers captain scored 11 victories this season, the second best in the league. McDavid also finished the regular season as the most productive player in 2016/17. and in the 2017/18 season, when 100 and 108 points were accumulated, respectively.

He won the league’s Most Valuable Player Award, named after Cecil Hart, for the first time in the 2016/17 season.

McDavid was the absolute leader in the league’s most valuable player vote, receiving the maximum possible first 100 places. He is only the second player in the history of the league to win the vote as the absolute leader.

Former Oilers striker and legend Wayne Greck managed the same for the 1981/82 season.

The Oilers won second place in the Northern Division this season and unexpectedly gave up the Winnipeg Jets in seven games in the first round of the playoffs.

“My teammates have a great credit in this success, without whom I would not have achieved anything like that. We have a great team. Although we did not achieve our goal this season, I am glad that I am part of this team and that we can play in front of our fans,” McDidow was full of gratitude for the announcement.

McDeight also won a prize named after Thed Lindsey for a hockey player who has shown impressive and memorable performance during the season. The winner of this award is determined by the NHL Players Association (NHLPA).

Last season, the Hart Prize went to McDeidae’s fellow Leon Draizaitl. The second place in this year’s vote was taken by Toronto “Maple Leafs” striker Oston Matthew, followed by Colorado Avalanche leader Neitan Makinon.

Matthew scored 41 goals in 52 games this season, which was the best score in the league, but he scored 66 points in total. The quinone stood out with 65 points in 48 matches.

Debutant Kirill Kaprizov (Minnesota’s Wild) took 15th place in this month’s Hart Award vote and made a brilliant entry in the NHL this season. The striker scored 55 goals and 24 assists in 55 matches.

His performance did not go unnoticed, with the Russian hockey player winning the Caldera Award for the best debutant of the season.

Kaprizov, 24, is the first Wild hockey player to win the Caldera Award. He was a leader in a number of statistics among the debutants, including goals and points scored.

Meanwhile, the Vezina Award, given to the league’s best goalkeeper, has been given to Vegas Andre Knler, an experienced goalkeeper for the Golden Knights in Vegas.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper had never been to this award before in his career. He has been in the NHL for 17 seasons.

He helped his team win 26 matches in the regular season this season. Six times Flier’s goal was missed, which put him in third place in this statistic.

The goalkeeper conceded an average of 1.98 goals in the game, repelling 92.8% of throws. Fleeri started the season with five wins in a row, but ended with nine successes in a row.

Usually in the NHL regular season, the teams each play 82 matches, but this season the teams each played 56 duels.
