A repeat of last year’s RSL Final 4 league final is on the doorstep, but whether it will also have similar outcomes and winners as last year is far from decided in advance. Get an overview of what awaits in the magnificent final brawl between Skovshoved and Værløse here in the battle to become Danish champions 2021 here.

It was two extremely strong, battle-ready and excited teams that played in the RSL Final 4 final on Tuesday.

First, Værløse surprised with a big victory of 5-1 over the clear favorites and basic game winners, Vendsyssel. Later it was Skovshoved who, with among others Viktor Axelsen and Natalia Koch Rohde on the team card, took the fuse on Team Skælskør-Slagelse, which was also defeated 1-5.

Thus, the defending champions, Skovshoved, face the defending silver winners from Værløse on Wednesday night, who apparently intend to give everything they have to prevent history from last year from repeating itself.

At least that’s what Skovshoved’s coach, Henrik PK Rohde, is preparing his players for.

– Last year, Værløse did not really reach the final in the same way as they did in the semifinals last year and this year, and you probably do not do that twice. So we are very clear that they come with the level we saw from them in the semifinal against Vendsyssel, says Henrik PK Rohde.

According to Værløse coach Tanja Berg, the hope is that the mental and physical surplus is greater tonight than it was in last year’s final showdown.

– Compared to last year, we will definitely be more ready for the match. It was a really tough match we had in the semifinals last year, where we also had not trained properly or played matches for several months. So I think that this year we will be less used and less tired, and I hope that the profit both mentally and physically can help us to bounce a little more than we did last year, says Tanja Berg.
